Our flagship 3D Method of Moments solver, Serenity, now supports the Adaptive Cross Approximation (ACA). This new solver compresses blocks of the MOM linear system using the ACA algorithm, and performs a block-LU factorization of the matrix in compressed form. Serenity can then use the ACA algorithm to quickly solve for multiple right-hand sides simultaneously, making it ideal for generating Nyquist-sampled scattered field data. The ACA solver is ideal for problems of intermediate electrical size, and for large numbers of right-hand sides, it outperforms the MLFMA-accelerated iterative solvers by an order of magnitude or more. GPU-accelerated versions of this solver are available for customers with NVIDIA CUDA-capable GPUs.

After 2 years of development, lucernhammer 2.0 is now available. This release comprises a complete re-write of our tool suite in the C++ programming language. The materials handling capability of the lucernhammer tools has been extensively modified and improved. Serenity and Galaxy now support completely conducting targets as well as those having conducting and bulk dielectric parts, and these dielectrics can be lossy. Geometries with junctions are also supported. Bulk material support in lucernhammer MT has also been improved.

Users of older 1.x versions of lucernhammer are encouraged to upgrade, and should contact us with any questions. Customers with current maintenance contracts will be upgraded free of charge.
